RoundRedDot Tech Co., Ltd. (Guangzhou) (“we”) respects the privacy of its users (“you”) and has adopted this Privacy Policy to demonstrate its commitment to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes the information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have regarding such use and disclosure. We encourage you to read this Privacy Policy carefully before using our application (our “Software” or “App”) or services (our “Services”). By using our Services, you accept the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the terms and conditions set out here, please do not use the Software and Services. 1. What Types of Information Do We Collect from You?
We process two main categories of information:
1.1 Information that may be collected automatically. When you use or access the Software and Services, certain information about you may be collected automatically, as follows:
- Technical information. We may collect certain technical information relating to your device configuration and identifiers and to your use of the Software and Services, including the type, name, and version of the operating system and the Open UDID, in order to improve your experience of our Services.
- Usage information. We may collect certain usage-related information about how you use your device and interact with it (including the Software and Services), such as when and how you use the Software and Services and how often, in order to improve our Services.
- Payment data. We may collect information about your subscription orders, such as the item purchased, the subscription period, the order status, and the time of payment. We do not collect payment details and are not responsible for their collection or security. Payment information is processed and stored by third-party companies such as Apple and Google. Before entering your personal payment details, we recommend that you read and familiarise yourself with the privacy policies of these third-party companies.
1.2 Information you provide to us
1.2.1 User information. Your nickname, email address, and the account information you create with us.
1.2.2 Communication information. If you contact us, we collect your name, contact details, and the content of any messages you send.
1.2.3 Permission to access storage. So that you can save photos, videos, or cached information to your device, or upload images from your device to the Software, you may voluntarily grant us permission to access your device storage.
1.2.4 Information security. To provide a seamless note-syncing experience so that you can view your notes on any device, all of your data is stored in the cloud and on your devices. We understand that your notes are highly private to you, so we apply industry-leading security measures to protect your data: your note data is encrypted to a high standard both in transit and at rest, ensuring that only you can access it.
2. Information We Do Not Share
2.1 Information security. We use artificial intelligence to process your notes, but we do not use any of your information for training purposes, and your notes remain strictly private within your account.
2.2 Note information. All of your notes — text, voice, links, files, and everything else you enter — can be viewed and listened to only by you.
3. Information We Share
We do not share any personal information collected from you, except in the following circumstances:
3.1 If we are required by law to disclose your information, we may share it as necessary with law enforcement or other competent authorities and with any third party (for example, to detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security, or technical issues; to respond to claims or comply with any legal process, subpoena, or government request; or to protect the rights, property, or personal safety of our users, their partners, or the public).
3.2 If we undergo a business transition — such as a merger or acquisition by another company, a consolidation, a change of control, a reorganisation, or a sale of all or part of our assets — your information will be among the assets transferred.
3.3 In order to provide feedback or responses to your input, you understand and agree that we need to share user content with our AI technology partners.
3.4 We may also share personal information with our subsidiaries, affiliates, and parent company, provided that their use of such information complies with applicable data protection laws and this Privacy Policy.
4. How Do We Use Your Information?
4.1 The main reason we use your information is to provide and improve the Services. Read on for a more detailed explanation of the various reasons we use your information:
- To operate and update the Software and Services, and to provide you with existing and new features and functionality;
- To improve and personalise the Software and Services;
- To maintain, test, monitor, and improve the quality and operation of the Software;

5. Third-Party SDK and AI Model Services
When you use the products or features we provide, we may integrate third-party SDKs, cloud services, or AI model services to support analytics, crash diagnostics, speech-to-text, AI content processing, and related functions. We follow the principles of lawfulness, fairness, necessity, and data minimisation, processing information only to the extent necessary to deliver the specific feature, and we apply security measures such as encrypted transmission and access controls to protect your information.
For speech recognition and AI processing features, we process only the audio, text, and related task data that you submit or authorise us to process, and only when you actively use those features. The data is transmitted, encrypted, through API interfaces to the relevant service provider, used solely to perform speech-to-text, AI content understanding, text generation, summarisation, information extraction, and similar functions, and the results are returned to you.
Except where required by laws and regulations, where necessary to safeguard the security of the Services or to diagnose faults, or where we have obtained your separate explicit consent, we do not authorise third-party service providers to use your audio files, transcripts, inputs, or outputs to train, retrain, or improve their foundation models, nor for any other purpose unrelated to providing this feature.
5.1 SDK name: Firebase SDK
Provider: Firebase, Inc / Google LLC
Purpose: analytics, crash reporting, and analysis of system performance and anomalies, to help us improve the product experience and the stability of the Services
Information collected: device information, system information, network information, and the statistics necessary during use of the product

5.2 Service name: Speech recognition service
Providers: Tencent Cloud Computing (Beijing) Co., Ltd.; Beijing Volcano Engine Technology Co., Ltd.
Purpose: when you actively use features such as recording-to-text and speech content recognition, we convert the recordings you submit or authorise us to process into text, in order to generate transcripts, organise spoken content, and provide related product features
Models/capabilities used: Volcano Engine Doubao speech-recognition large model and large-model audio-file recognition capabilities; Tencent Cloud Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) audio-file recognition large model and large-model speech-to-text capabilities
Information collected: the audio files you actively submit or authorise us to process, together with the request information necessary to complete recognition
Collection method: after you actively trigger the feature, the audio file or its access address is transmitted, encrypted, through API interfaces to the relevant provider for recognition

5.3 Service name: Third-party AI service provider
Provider: Beijing Volcano Engine Technology Co., Ltd.
Purpose: to provide you with AI content understanding, text generation, summarisation, information extraction, intelligent question answering, and related features
Models/capabilities used: Volcano Engine large-model capabilities, called to provide the relevant AI processing
Information collected: the text content you actively enter, upload, or authorise us to process, together with the request information necessary to complete the AI processing
Collection method: after you actively trigger an AI feature, the relevant text or task data is transmitted, encrypted, through API interfaces to the third-party AI service provider for processing

6. Cross-Border Data Transfer
6.1 We work internationally and provide the Software to users around the world. We, and the third-party organisations that provide automated data-processing technology for the Software, may transfer automatically processed information across borders, from your country or jurisdiction to other countries or jurisdictions around the world.
6.2 If you are located in the European Economic Area, then as required by law you hereby expressly consent to our transferring your data outside the European Economic Area once you use the Services. You may withdraw your consent at any time.
7. How Long Do We Retain Your Information?
We generally retain your personal information for as long as necessary to perform the contract between you and us and to comply with our legal obligations. If you no longer consent, or expressly withdraw your consent, to our collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information, we (and any third party working with us) will immediately cease all such use, and you may ask us to delete your personal information and close your account. However, certain information may still be stored for a period where it is necessary to comply with legal obligations (tax, accounting, auditing), to maintain security and data backup arrangements, or to prevent fraud or other malicious activity.
8. How Do We Protect Your Information?
We take security measures — administrative, technical, and physical — to protect your personal information against unauthorised access and disclosure. However, no system can be entirely secure. Therefore, although we take steps to protect your information, we do not promise (and you should not expect) that your personal information will remain secure at all times.
